ISFOC will carry out the SOLARPLUG project

Recently, the Department of Economy, Companies, and Employment of the Autonomous Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha has granted ISFOC with the funds to carry out the project, “Solarplug. The Experimental Development of a Stand-Alone System with a Tracking System”, under the Support Programme for Entrepreneurial Innovation in Castilla-La Mancha. The Solarplug project is linked to RIS3 strategy, and more specifically to the specialization of the Energy and Environment field.

The Project’s main purposes are to:
  1. Design a more economical and more reliable solar tracker, suitable for isolated self-consumption, which can be used for both concentration photovoltaics and conventional photovoltaics energy, including storage capacity.
  2. Design a weather station consisting of a small, self-powered tracker with the same design philosophy.
  3. Design, characterisation and validation in order to improve the reliability and quality of the final product.

The project will have duration of 8 months during 2016.

The total approved investment comes to €113,374.88, 60% of which is financed by the Support Programme for Entrepreneurial Innovation in Castilla-La Mancha, the European Regional Development Fund (FEDER), and FEDER Operating System 2014-2020 of Castilla-La Mancha.
