INDAGA SOLAR Proyect Launch Meeting

On October 21, 2022, the official launch meeting of the INDAGA SOLAR project took place telematically, although work had already been underway. During this session, consortium members shared project details, established work timelines, and set future meeting schedules for both technical and administrative follow-ups.

The consortium consists of: Solartys, a non-profit solar energy cluster that works with the entire solar energy value chain to improve the competitiveness of its members and the sector in which they operate; Instituto de Sistemas Fotovoltaicos de Concentración S.A. (ISFOC), a company belonging to the Castilla-La Mancha Finance Institute Group, dedicated to R&D in photovoltaic technologies, energy efficiency, and smart sensors; Smartech Cluster, a non-profit association that brings together all actors in the value chain of the home automation, smart buildings and cities sectors, and the digital transformation of industry and other economic sectors; Infaimon S.L., a multinational dedicated exclusively to machine vision and image analysis technology; Logikers S.L., a company offering technology consulting services specialized in advanced information, communications, and digitalization systems engineering; and Skylife Engineering S.L., a technology-based company focused on developing embedded electronics systems and custom software design.

The main objective of the project is to improve, digitalize, and transform the operation and maintenance processes of the photovoltaic sector through research, implementation, and the use of emerging Industry 4.0 technologies and techniques (Digital Twin, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, distributed IoT sensors, machine vision, energy prediction algorithms, etc.), based on the fact that the photovoltaic industry has become a key player in achieving the energy transition at national and European levels. All this will be done in line with the transition objectives set by the European Union in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and at the national level to address new research and innovations that allow for continued competitiveness of the sector and, consequently, the economic, social, and territorial benefits this sector has shown to provide.

The project is funded by grants for the support of Innovative Business Groups (AEI) from the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism (MINCOTUR), with file number AEI-010500-2022b-224.
