ISFOC attends the follow-up meeting of the SUNRISE PV project

This week, ISFOC travelled to Vitoria to the facilities of CEGASA to meet with the partners of the SUNRISE PV project and the technical representative from CDTI (Centre for Technological and Industrial Development).

During the meeting, the progress made so far on the solutions and innovations planned within the project was reviewed, aiming at creating the next generation of photovoltaic technologies to reduce energy costs through circular strategies. The facilities of CEGASA were visited, and their technological advancements in energy storage solutions were showcased.

SUNRISE PV is a project co-financed by CDTI and the Next Generation Funds, with the main objective of addressing challenges in various phases of the photovoltaic value chain, from modules to plant operation and maintenance, focusing on new materials and processes, efficiency in operation and maintenance, and the recovery and reuse of critical materials. The project partners include Magtel, Mugape, Técnicas Reunidas, Cuadros Eléctricos Nazarenos (CEN), ISFOC, Mondragon Assembly, and Soltec.
