Execution budget: €897,106.16

DESCRIPTION: ISFOC leads the CECOM4PV project, whose main objective is the design and development, based on traditionally used standard ceramic and composite products, of new products for the construction sector for use in energy-efficient building envelopes, such as tiles, roof elements, building envelopes, etc., which integrate electricity generation from PV elements. PV modules become another building component (BIPV).

The project falls within the path towards the achievement of Nearly Zero Energy Buildings (nZEB) or even Positive Energy Neighbourhoods (PEN).

The project's outcome will be a potential portfolio of high technical and aesthetic value BIPV products based on standard ceramic products used in building envelopes and new trend products for construction based on composites.

The CECOM4PV project is part of the public aid call for public-private collaboration projects, from the State Programme to Promote Scientific-Technical Research and its Transfer, of the State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research 2021-2023, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The main objective of these grants is to advance the incorporation of scientific-technical knowledge and results that enable the validation and pre-competitive development of new technologies, products and services, creating the right context to stimulate the generation of a critical mass in interdisciplinary R&D&I for their application, transfer, problem-solving and generation of results both in the technological and innovation trajectories of companies and in the market.

These projects aim to mobilise private investment, generate employment, and improve the country's technological balance, as well as strengthen the international leadership capacity of the Spanish Science, Technology and Innovation System and its agents, contributing to improving the competitiveness of the business sector.

The CECOM4PV project is funded by the Ministry of Science and Innovation.
